CEO - Jean-Pierre Rammant
Jean-Pierre Rammant was born in Brugge on 21.06.1950 and has the
Belgian nationality. He married in 1974 with Agnes Peeters-Van
hoorenbeeck, an egyptologist and together they have 3 descendants.
He received his degree of Civil Engineer (MSc) at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven after which he studied at Technion (Haifa - Israel). Jean-Pierre Rammant finished his Ph-D doctoral work at the Faculty of Applied Sciences - K.U. Leuven in 1976 on Finite Element Analysis of fiber reinforced concrete structures. In 1977 he was Associate Professor at M.I.T. (Boston, USA). From 1978 till 1981 he was a professor at the Engineering College Group T - Leuven. It is during that same time that he started up the Software & Consultancy company SCIA (Scientific Application Group). Since 1987 he has been the CEO of SCIA Group and its branches. Lately, he also became Vice President of the Group of Engineering Software companies within Nemetschek AG, to which Nemetschek Scia belongs since February 2006.
Jean-Pierre Rammant is the president of the Sint Lukas Art College in Brussels since 2002 and has a great passion for contemporary art. In 2005 he became co-founder of the association Art Without Bars, organizer of art projects in prisons.
CSO - Rémy Tasse
Rémy
Tasse is Chief Sales Officer at SCIA since 2003 where he is responsible
for the development of sales and marketing and the management of
the sales teams in Europe and India.
Before his career at SCIA, he co-founded ALTERWAVE, a company that
provides software and hardware tools for mobile telecommunication
based on the Bluetooth technology.
From 1998 until 2001 he was active in NUMECA International, a start-up
company in fluid mechanics software oriented towards turbomachinery
and aeronautics. He was initially Sales Engineer in the Benelux
and afterwards Sales Manager in France. He has also developed many
partnerships and major accounts in UK and USA.
He spent two years as a consultant and business developer at ALTRAN,
a major high tech consulting company.
He graduated as an Engineer in electro-mechanics at the Free University of Brussels and in 1995 he achieved his PhD in fluid mechanics at the von Karman Institute.
Rémy was born in Congo in 1966, he is Belgian and lives with Sophie Cayphas and his little daughter Lucy.
During his free time, Rémy is practicing his passion for literature by writing short stories, he is managing “All For The Planet”, a NGO that he co-founded. He enjoys adventurous travels in Africa, Asia and Australia, likes to play badminton and practices sailing when the Belgian weather allows it.
CBO - Herman Oogink
Herman
Oogink was born in Nijverdal on 25.12.1958 and he has the Dutch
nationality. He is married to Hetty Braker and together they have
three children.
He graduated in 1980 in Civil Engineering at Hengelo and received
a Master’s degree in 1984. He attended interesting courses
such as Management for Profit Organizations, Strategic Business
Development, Business Strategy Course and Project Management. Furthermore
he took several short courses to improve his skills and he has
been speaker on several seminars and congresses, both nationally
and internationally.
In 1984 Herman started working at W+B Software where he was charged
with several jobs such as software development, product strategy
and sales. Since the merger of W+B Software with SCIA in 1993,
he is Chief Business Officer and as from 1.1.2008 also Chief Technical
Officer. In addition, he is Project Consultancy Manager for projects
in the precast industry.
Herman is a member of the Concrete Society, IABSE, CUR and of the board of Stumico. He is project leader of many international IT projects and has business and consultancy experiences in different European countries. He enjoys running, tennis and mountain biking.
CFO - Luc ibens
Luc
ibens was born in Antwerp on 30.05.1963 and is a Belgian national.
In 1990 he married Karen De Boeck, a former air hostess and together
they have two children.
He graduated in 1986 in ‘Business Administration & Science
in Information Systems’ at the European University of Antwerp
and one year later, he received a Master in Business Administration
at the European University in Montreux, Switzerland. In 1995 he
took a Management course at the Krauthammer Institute.
He started working as an accountant at General Contractors J&E
ibens nv and was Financial Manager from 1989 until 1998. The two
following years he worked as a Financial Consultant at Peetermans
nv, a cleaning company. In 2001 he started his career at SCIA.
Since then Luc is the Finance & Administration Manager, also
Quality Manager as from 2002, Chief Financial Officer since 2003
and as from 1.1.2008 also Chief Operating Officer of SCIA Group.
Luc is a member of the Flemish Management Association and enjoys all kinds of music. He likes to play tennis, but working in the garden and cooking also belong to his interests.
